Jess Apap here, the girl behind the lens!
I started taking photos when I was 17 thanks to a very encouraging art teacher and the rest is history!
I’ve been shooting fashion photography for the better part of a decade, and in 2018 wedding photography caught my eye. Turns out this was no summer fling and was absolutely a love story in the making. Shortly after, Mad for You Creative was born.
Early on I learned that people are my muse and my connection with them is what radiates through my work. With this in mind, Family photography felt important and very fulfilling, becoming something I knew I had to offer my clients as well. Whatever I am shooting,
for me it’s about capturing people’s joy. Something I like to call "the one-percenters of life" - those little in-between moments that make your days better. It’s these moments that I love the most and that help me tell your story.
It’s most important to me that your day/session flows in a way that is organic to you. I’ll offer direction when it’s required to help you feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible, and the rest of the time I take a documentary approach, to capture those honest moments as they unfold.
I’ve been fortunate enough to shoot weddings in different parts of the world, and absolutely love to travel, so sing out and say hello, no matter where you live.
